Chapter 1: Is Something Wrong with His Little Man?
"Ye Mo, Ye Mo, are you all right? Get up, hurry — class is about to start, and this lesson is with Heartless Ice. Get up, quick." An anxious voice sounded beside Ye Mo's ear, and a very strange feeling came over him.
"This idiot. He's probably too ashamed to show his face, that's why he's covering it up," another voice said by his ear — but this time Ye Mo woke up.
Ye Mo looked around in a daze. He did not recognize a single person; every face was a stranger's.
Seeing his blank look, another burst of roaring laughter went around the room. It was obvious all of it was aimed at him. Seeing that the laughing crowd around him seemed to be mocking him, he did not dare ask anything out loud for the moment and could only stay silently on his guard, in case someone tried something against him.

He glanced at the classmate sitting beside him. He seemed to be the only one not laughing at him — and just now, he had kindly shaken him awake.
"Where am I? Who are you? Why does this look like a schoolroom?" The questions came out of Ye Mo before he could stop himself, in utter astonishment.
"Hahaha…" Another burst of laughter erupted.
"Ye Mo, I think the anger has muddled your head. Is Yan Yan someone you can just write love letters to? Things were fine when you were still in the Ye family, but you are not one of the Ye family anymore. Be careful from now on. The next lesson is English with Teacher Yun Bing — whatever you do, don't let her catch you," his deskmate whispered carefully into his ear, so quietly that only Ye Mo could hear. It was clear he was worried too.
"I really don't remember much. My head was hurting terribly just now, and I've forgotten a lot of things," Ye Mo said helplessly.
His deskmate sighed. Of course he did not believe Ye Mo could have forgotten everything in such a short while — he was just saving face. The man still had not faced reality: he was no longer the Ye Mo of the Ye family.

Ye Mo's head throbbed in waves. He remembered refining a Huiyuan Pill together with his master, Luo Ying, when that pack of scum from the Xiliu Sect attacked. After that came explosions and the sounds of slaughter on every side. He remembered his master holding him and using an escape talisman. But how had he ended up here? Was this still the Luoyue Continent?
And if he was sitting here now — where was his master? His master was only three years older than him. And the whole reason the Xiliu Sect had launched that surprise attack was that his master was too beautiful: the Xiliu Sect's young master had wanted to marry his beautiful master, and she had refused him.
If his master had fallen into the Xiliu Sect's hands, the consequences would be unthinkable. At the thought, Ye Mo could no longer hold back his panic and shot to his feet.

"What is it? Didn't you hear the bell?" A young woman with a cold, clear face walked up to the lectern carrying several books and swept a chilly glance over the still-laughing students. The laughter died down at once. Everyone knew this was Yun Bing, the English lecturer, who hated nothing more than students making a ruckus in class — and once she had her eye on you, there would be no good fruit to eat.
Ye Mo was already feeling that something was wrong. He could understand what these people were saying, yet the language was plainly not the one he had originally used. Could it be that this was no longer the Luoyue Continent?
Frowning, Ye Mo wanted to understand things more clearly when another wave of headache hit him, and a jumble of scattered information surfaced in his memory.
Ye Mo, a third-generation descendant of the Ye family. His father, Ye Wentian, had died two years ago, and he had no memory of his mother at all. After his father's death, Ye Mo had been driven out of the Ye family completely. The specific reason: Ye Mo was not Ye Wentian's flesh and blood. More precisely, after his father died, Ye Mo's bloodline had been tested all over again, and he was determined not to be of Ye blood — that was when he was expelled from the Ye household.
But he still had a younger sister, Ye Ling, and a younger brother, Ye Zifeng — though they shared only the same father, not the same mother. Three years ago, his father, as if he knew he owed Ye Mo something, had specially asked the old master of the Ye family to arrange a marriage alliance with the Ning family. Ye Wentian probably knew his own body was failing and wanted to find Ye Mo a powerful backer; that was how he came to the Ning family of the capital.
For the Ning family, a marriage alliance with the Ye family — one of Huaxia's five great families — was of course something they were more than willing to accept. Old Master Ning's granddaughter, Ning Qingxue, was betrothed to Ye Mo. Three years later, today, the twenty-one-year-old Ning Qingxue had already become the number one beauty of the capital.

Ye Mo, meanwhile, had become the Ye family's catastrophe, for a very simple reason. During a hospital checkup, Ye Mo had been diagnosed with congenital impotence — to put it bluntly, he was incapable of performing as a man. The Ye family had tried hard to keep the fact hidden, but overnight it seemed the entire capital knew: the Ye family, one of Huaxia's five great families, had produced a son who was born impotent, and the Ye family had lost enormous face.
"Ah…" When the memories reached this point, Ye Mo cried out and leapt to his feet, very nearly pulling down his trousers right there to check. He had more or less understood that he might have been reborn into the body of another man also named Ye Mo — but this man was incapable as a man. He would rather be killed than live like that.
"That student — what is your name? What are you shouting for in the middle of class? Come to my office after the lesson." The beautiful teacher's lecture had been interrupted by Ye Mo's cry, and her expression was very displeased.
The rest of the class all snickered to themselves. Summoning a university student to her office at every turn — probably only this English teacher could do something like that. And you couldn't refuse to go: your credits were in her hands.
Ye Mo sat down, utterly dejected. He did not understand much about the inner workings of family struggles, but he had some inkling that he had most likely been driven out of the Ye family because of the impotence, not necessarily because he was not of Ye blood. Besides, who would know if a few hands had tampered with a DNA test?

What worried Ye Mo was not being driven out of the Ye family — he could not care less about that. What worried him was the impotence. And what had become of his master, Luo Ying.
He also understood now why his classmates had been laughing. It was because this predecessor of his, who had plainly already been expelled from the Ye family, had stubbornly refused to change his ways and gone chasing Yan Yan, the most fiery girl in the class. She had taken his confession letter, pinned it to the blackboard, then stood on the podium, looked down at him with contempt, and said: "Young Master Ye, can you take me to bed?"
So that was it. No wonder the whole class had roared with laughter. Most likely the original Ye Mo had died of shame on the spot. Telling a man who was incapable to take her to bed — was that not a slap in the face? Even though the man she said it to was no longer him, Ye Mo's face still darkened.
He looked at the girl named Yan Yan. She was indeed exceptionally voluptuous, but that affected manner of hers repelled him. He truly could not understand why the original owner of this body had gone after her.
But Ye Mo quickly learned the reason. Back when Ye Mo was still in the Ye family, everyone had fawned over him — including the girl named Yan Yan. Later, when the impotence story got out, he had wanted a girlfriend out of shame and a need to save face, never imagining that a girl who had once curried favor with him would treat him like that. Overcome by shame and fury, he had fainted — which conveniently made room for Ye Mo's rebirth. He had actually been reborn into a place like this.
He could not understand a single word of the beautiful teacher's lesson on the podium — and even if he could, Ye Mo would not have listened. The fact that he was now impotent was something he absolutely could not accept. If rebirth meant living like this, he would rather not have been reborn at all.
He sorted through his memories, his expression growing darker and darker. Leaving aside the impotence question, the qi of heaven and earth here was so thin that this was simply not a place for cultivation. Was he really going to grow old and die, for no reason he could name, in this place called Earth?
Whether he attended this university or not no longer mattered. The most important thing was to get clear on his current situation. His impotence concerned the Ye family's reputation; even though they had driven him out, who knew whether someone might suddenly do away with him. There might be other, hidden reasons behind his expulsion as well. Was he even safe now?
So when the bell rang for the end of class, the first thing Ye Mo did was, of course, not to go to the beautiful teacher's office. He rushed out of the school in a hurry — he had to find a place to check his little man and see whether he really was impotent.

Fortunately, there was not much around Ninghai University, but there was no shortage of small alleys. Ye Mo hurried into a secluded, deserted one and quickly pulled down his trousers.
His little man was indeed small, but Ye Mo did not fall into despair over that; instead, he truly let out a long breath of relief. He was not impotent at all. It was because his member was too large and a meridian was blocking its development, creating this false appearance of impotence. Before he began cultivating on the Luoyue Continent, he had been a master of medicine, and one look was enough for him to understand exactly what was going on.
Even so, with Earth's current technology, unblocking that obstructed meridian would be nothing but a fool's dream. But it could not stump Ye Mo. Although he did not yet have the ability to open the blocked meridian himself and let his little man stand tall and proud, once he reached the third layer of Qi Training, the meridian would be forced open on its own.
Except that Ye Mo was immediately disappointed again. With the qi of heaven and earth this thin on Earth, cultivating to the third layer of Qi Training would be an enormous task — perhaps he would never reach it in his entire life, and then he would still be, in effect, impotent.
Ye Mo sighed and was just about to pull his trousers back up when a sudden shriek made him jump.
"A pervert…!" It was unmistakably a high-decibel soprano, sounding right in front of Ye Mo. Just now he had been so intent on examining himself that he had forgotten to check his surroundings. He had not realized this little alley ran through to somewhere else — there was a bend up ahead that could not be seen from where he stood.
Ye Mo was no exhibitionist, and besides, he currently had no capital to exhibit. He hastily pulled up his trousers and was about to slip away.

"Ye Mo? Is that you?" After her scream, the woman spoke again, this time in a tone of astonishment. It was obvious that she knew him.
